Mount San Jacinto
Thanks to my friend Scott, who invited me to hike along with him, I was able to summit Mount San Jacinto and take in the awe-inspiring views. We got an early start, arriving at the Deer Springs Trailhead just past 7am, and couldn't have asked for better conditions. The skies were partly cloudy and the air was cool as we hiked allowing us to stay cool as we ascended the 5,000 ft climb to the summit. In all, the 18.3 mile round trip took us a little over seven hours with about an hour's rest at the top to rest our feet, stretch, and eat some lunch.
“The view from San Jacinto is the most sublime spectacle to be found anywhere on this earth!”
